Agios Minas

The beautiful monastery of Agios Minas, which celebrates on November 11, is one of the largest and well-organized female monasteries of Aegina. On the hill of Afaia, it surprises the visitor-pilgrim not only because of its location in the dense pine forest, but mainly because of the hospitality and simplicity of the nuns who welcome every visitor with open hearts.

The monastery of Agios Minas was built according to tradition at the instigation of the Patmos ascetic Agios Geronto Amfilochios Makris, who was the spiritual child of Agios Nektarios!

The monastery is one of the newest in Aegina today it has a special spiritual flourishing and is a refuge for many pilgrims who seek peace, tranquility.
